Sooooo... here's my second attempt at a background. Mostly a huge experiment with lighting. Messed around with color effects and conflicting lightsources. Pretty happy with how it came out
Edit: Forgot the secondary shadow for the statue, fixed.
This is my first real critique, though I critique alot in general comments. so please don't run me down too much.
Now for the artwork . . . This receives high praise. The lighting is excellent, considering you had to work with two different light sources. Did you use life references at all? It's not easy to not only work with two different light sources, but one light that is orange ad another that is blue.
The hair on Twilight is also fantastic, using a good style of thick hair strands, but the dividing lines are not evident . . .
The only thing I'm noticing is that the floor on the right side looks out of place . . . the wall continues off the edge and is fairly straight while the lines in the floor curve around sharply. Ah well, not too big of a deal.
Anyways . . . this does deserve five stars for everything, it is very, very good
Wow. This is amazing!! I wish I could have seen more of your livestream. I love this. It must be challenging having 2 light sources, but being the amazing artist you are, it looks perfect! Everything look so warm and happy. And I love all the details on the books and telescope and such. Y U so awesome?
Oh, god. I feel terrible to have anything negative to say about this. the only thing I notice is that the table with the unicorn bust seems to be melding into the wall, not the floor. ? I dunno. It doesn't look right. Still, amazing!!
Oh my goodness this is beautiful.. I can't even find words to explain it! I really love the lighting from the lantern onto Twilight's mane and tail, she looks so comfortable and the bed looks so soft! And I also really love the moonlight, gorgeous work!
I'm making it a pattern to give a shoutout on each tutorial to my different favorite artists I watch on DA, so I started with giving a shoutout to you. Hope it works
